Samsung Series 3 Notebooks Hit the US Market
The Samsung Series 3 everyday-use laptops with 15.6-, 14-, and 12.1-inch displays and Intel “Sandy Bridge” Core processors are now available for purchase.
The 15.6″ Samsung Series 3 model on offer in the US is the NP300V5A-A03 with the Intel Core i3 2310M “sandy Bridge” processor and 500GB of hard drive space, 14-incher is the NP300V4A-A01US with the same CPU and 640GB HDD, while the 12.1″ NP350U2B-A01US ultraportable has the i5-2410M and 500GB of storage. The notebooks sport Intel’s integrated graphics, 4GB RAM, 500GB or 640GB of HDD capacity, and 1366×768 screen resolution. DVD burner is not present in the smallest member of the Series 3 family. It, on the other side, has a more stylish design with silver palm rest and area surrounding the keyboard, whereas the larger machines are all black.
The laptops have chiclet-style keyboards, 1.3MP web cameras, HDMI outputs, Bluetooth 3.0, and Windows 7 Home Premium OS.
The 15.6″ NP300V5A-A03 is priced at $585 (Newegg). The 14″ NP300V4A-A01US costs $637 (Buy.com). Finally, the NP350U2B-A01US is currently up for pre-orders and costs $750 (J&R).
Samsung is also expected to release a 13.3″ version.
