Speed Dial is Opera’s way of offering fast access to your favourite sites; the extensions feature lets those shortcuts update with dynamic content. Launch extensions include one for Read It Later which suggests a single article from your reading list.

Adding password sync brings Opera in line with Firefox and Chrome, which both already offer that feature. Browser-based sync isn’t as complete a solution as using a dedicated password manager, but is still useful if you regularly swap machines.

Opera 11.50 is a free download for Windows, Mac and Linux. If you do install it, note that Opera is annoyingly still persisting with automatically setting itself as the default browser without asking if you mind — not a difficult situation to fix, but a needless annoyance.
